Journals now Available Electronically Moved to Storage
Taking advantage of the ability of the new technologies to search
texts and deliver them to the desktop, the Library is transferring
back issues of journals available electronically to our high density
storage facility on Market and 30th Streets. This will enable us to
gain badly needed space for our growing collections and to keep in Van
Pelt-Dietrich Library Center as much as possible of that part of the
collection which is still available only in print. Among the
transferred journal issues are those available in the JSTOR collection
(http://www.jstor.org) to which all faculty, students and staff have full
electronic access.
Please note that users may request to have the volumes delivered for
consultation to the Library. (There are two deliveries daily during
the week.) Journal volumes may also be consulted at the storage
facility by appointment. Additionally, the staff at storage will
provide photocopies of articles upon request.
