Penn Only Resources

Due to licensing restrictions, access to some electronic resources on the Penn Library Web is limited. Items followed by the Penn symbol may be accessed by current Penn faculty, students and staff only.

When you try to access these resources from most Library workstations and from outside the Penn Network, you will be asked to enter a login (last name) and password (the last ten digits of you Penn ID).

If you use an Internet Service Provider (AOL, DCANet etc.) other than PennNet, the Penn Library Proxy Server can assist you in connecting to the Penn restricted resources.

If you are currently a Penn student, faculty or staff member, and are unable to access restricted resources, you may contact the Library at libsys@pobox.upenn.edu or call (215) 898-4824 for assistance.
