Summary: Manuscript recipe book, 1705, containing medical and cooking recipes. Recipes for cooking are written from back to front with book reversed. It contains a table of contents for each section. A number of recipes are attributed to named individuals.

As was customary for the period, this book is divided into two sections, accomplished by turning the book upside down and beginning again from the back. Though this strategy was intended to divide cookery from medicine, the categories are not always consistent nor evenly divided, such as Petre's book which has more medicinals than recipes.
